Summer Sizzle and “Make Some Noise” Meets: 31 Top-Three Finishes for Peddie Swimmers
Hightstown, New Jersey, June 27, 2012—More than 31 podium finishes were earned as 100 Peddie Aquatics swimmers raced in two area long course meets in June. Peddie was represented by 24 swimmers at the championship-style Jeffrey S. Mace Memorial Summer Sizzle XXII, held June 22-24 at the Sonny Werblin Aquatic Center at Rutgers University, and 82 swimmers at the “Make Some Noise” Long Course Meet at Princeton University’s DeNunzio Pool on June 23-24.
At the Summer Sizzle, swimming in 15 & over events, Patrick Park (West Windsor) won the 100 free (53.18), 200 free (1:58.40), and 100 fly (55.95). Scott Vitabile (East Windsor) finished second in the 100 free (55.08). M.J. Cummings (Millstone Township) finished third in the 100 free (56.09). Emily Schroeder (West Windsor) finished third in the 100 free (1:00.74).
In 13/14 year old events, Roman Horoszewski (West Windsor) won the 200 free (2:04.30) and 400 free (4:20.44).
In 11/12 year old events, Noah Houskeeper (North Brunswick) finished second in the 100 fly (1:08.39) and third in the 200 fly (2:32.86). Michael Blank (East Windsor) won the 100 back (1:14.61). Sara Kalajdzic (East Windsor) finished second in the 200 breast (3:04.10).
In 10 & under events, Zoe Stokes (Cranbury) finished second in the 100 fly (1:24.48).
At the “Make Some Noise” meet, swimming in 15 & over events, Robbie Kahrs (East Windsor) won the 100 fly (1:10.40) and finished second in the 200 fly (2:39.97). Eric Hubbard (East Windsor) won the 200 breast (2:40.30).
Swimming with 13/14 year olds, Nika Blank (East Windsor) finished second in the 50 free (29.12), the 100 free (1:04.82), the 100 back (1:14.49), and the 200 IM (2:42.61). Erin Fago (East Windsor) finished second in the 100 fly (1:13.58) and third in the 200 back (2:43.10). Maddie Whaley (Cranbury) finished third in the 200 IM (2:42.69).
Among 11/12 year olds, Allie McDaid (East Windsor) won the 200 breast (3:05.74) and finished third in the 200 IM (2:54.94).
In 10 & under events, Amelia Kudela (Plainsboro) won the 50 fly (36.44). Angela Dong (Robbinsville) finished second in the 200 IM (3:22.29). Kaila Bernstiel (Millstone) finished third in the 200 free (3:01.15). Miranda Cai (Cranbury) finished third in the 100 fly (1:44.08). Emily Huang (Plainsboro) finished third in the 50 breast (49.27). Roshan Paul (West Windsor) finished third in the 100 back (1:44.73).
