The following is a list of groups, as well as their expectations and practice times. Fees will be emailed to all current PAA members, and to any new members who request it by emailing SCozzone@peddie.org.

* All practices are at the Peddie Pool, except for the AG1 & AG2 Saturday practices, which are at Princeton University's DeNunzio Pool.

Mini Falcon 1: 5-6 year old Mini Falcons. Must be able to complete 1 lap of the pool on their front and back. Will be trained in proper technique of Freestyle, Backstroke, and will be introduced to Breaststroke and Butterfly. Attendance at practice is optional 2 days per week, but encouraged. Attendance at meets is offered, but not mandatory. Coach - Wendy MacCarthy

Mini Falcon 2: 5-6 year old Mini Falcons. Designed for first year swimmers that are a bit more experienced. Again, must be able to finish 1 lap on their front and back. Will be trained in proper technique in all 4 competitive strokes. Attendance at 2 practices per week is encouraged, but not mandatory. Attendance at meets is highly encouraged. Coach – Beth Bright


Falcon 1: 7-8 year old Falcons. Should have at least one year experience on either winter or summer swim team. Will concentrate on perfecting all four competitive strokes, as well as introduction to proper turns. Attendance at 3 practices per week is highly encouraged. Attendance at meets is also encouraged. Falcon 2: 7-8 year old Falcons. Should have at least 1-2 years of year round swimming experience. Have mastered at least 3 of the competitive strokes, and are ready for some interval and set training as well as technique development. Practice attendance encouraged at all 3 practices. Meets are required for this group. Coach – Pam Owens

Junior 1: 9-10 year old Juniors. Must have been through either our 8/Under program or a similar training program where all 4 strokes have been learned, as well as proper turns. The Junior 1 group is designed as mainly a technique training group with emphasis on proper stroke technique, and some basic interval and set training. Junior 1 will train 3 days a week, and attendance is highly encouraged. Meets are highly encouraged at this level as well as year round training. At least two seasons of attendance are required at this level. Coach - Rob Fisch

Junior 2: 9-10 year old Juniors. The Junior 2’s will be focusing on proper technique training as well as a stronger emphasis on aerobic training. More complicated interval and set work will be introduced. The clock will be expected to be mastered, as well as all flip turns, and more specific technical training. Junior 2’s will be expected to attend all swim meets offered, as well as all practices. At this level of training, year round swimming is mandatory. Coach - Dina Ellsworth

Elites: The Elite level at Peddie represents our 11/Over swimmers. The Elite Prep group is designed to get swimmers ready for Elite level of training emphasizing both technical improvement, and learning how to master aerobic skills. All 3 Elite groups utilize dry land training as well as intense pool training. All Elite groups are expected to attend a minimum of practices with a most strict attendance policy at the E2 Level. All Elites are expected to attend all meets offered at their level. In general, the Elite Prep's will be comprised of the Silver/Bronze level swimmers, and the E1 & E2 level swimmers will be comprised of the stronger Silver/Gold level swimmers. Swimmers who are in E2 are expected to maintain 5-6 practices per week, and are expected to train at a much higher level, utilizing strength training, aerobic dryland, and strong aerobic water work.

Marlboro Swim Club, Masepe Trail, is an outdoor, 50 meter pool, ~30 minutes east of Hightstown. PLEASE NOTE THAT WOODWARD ROAD IS STILL CLOSED. Take Route 33 East to the jughandle on the right for Route 527, Millhurst Road. Cross back over Route 33 and continue on Millhurst Road. At the traffic light for Route 3 (Main Street) turn right. Follow this road for 3.6 miles through Tennent, past Old Tennent Cemetery. Cross the bridge over Route 9, make a quick right and then a very quick left onto Wickatunk Lane, which becomes Gordons Corner Road. Drive 1.8 miles and watch for the flags on the telephone poles, and turn left onto Masepe Trail (if you cross Route 18, you passed it). Park in the gravel lot on the right, or drive up to the iron gates for drop-off. Call Sue's voice mail (609-490-7564) for practice changes due to weather by 5:15 AM.
