Meet The Coaches

Sue Moyer Cozzone – Head Coach & Elite 2 Coach

Sue started swimming as a 4-year old summer swimmer in her hometown of Paramus, NJ. She had much success as a summer swimmer, and then went on to year-round swimming with a North Jersey team called New Jersey Wave at 9 years old. She had great success as an age-grouper, placing top in the state as a 10/under and 12/under, and then went on to achieve her first Junior National time at the age of 14 in the 100 butterfly. Sue swam through high school and college as a butterflyer and breaststroker, and began bringing coaching in as part of the enthusiasm of swimming. She started as the head coach of the Paramus Summer Swim Team at the age of 16, and continued all through college. She graduated from Trenton State College with a B.S. in Psychology and Law & Justice. In 1994, she began coaching in this area with the Twin Rivers summer team and began as an age-group coach with Peddie in the fall of that same year. In 1998, Sue became the head coach of Peddie Aquatics and has been thrilled with the progress and growth that has taken place over the years. Just recently took on the Aquatic Director position at the school and will continue to run the age group team as well. Sue lives in Beach Haven West with her husband, Dave, and daughters, Isabella and Ayla (future team members).
