Dina Ellsworth - Junior 2 Coach

Dina is a native to New Jersey and began swimming at the age of 6 on her town’s summer swim team. After that first summer, she continued swimming at the local YMCA until she was 11 where she held the team records in freestyle and backstroke in the 8/U, 9/10 and 11/12 age groups for many years. At 11, Dina began training with a USS team, where she swam at a highly competitive level through high school. She was the New Jersey Prep State Champion in the 500 free for two years in high school, and went to Junior Nationals her senior year. After high school Dina continued swimming for Swarthmore College as one of their top distance freestylers. During college she began coaching her town’s swim team each summer. She continued swimming after college while she was a graduate student at Princeton, and swam until her first daughter was born. During her swimming career Dina swam in many meets at the Peddie pool, and she is excited to be back here as a coach! Dina lives in Cranbury with her husband Ken, and their 4 children; Kate, Emily (both on the team), William and Matthew.
