Meet The Coaches

Wendy MacCarthy – Mini Falcon 1 & Falcon 1 Coach

Wendy is originally from South Jersey where she grew up and started swimming competitively at the age of 8. She continued swimming for the local YMCA team for 9 years. Her swimming background continued when Wendy swam for her high school team and excelled in the long distance races and was voted team captain her junior and senior year. Wendy has an extensive background working with children of all ages and skill levels. All through high school she worked in many different capacities for the YMCA, swim instructor, counselor, youth leader, lifeguard, mentor and in the summers worked as director of a summer camp. After college graduation Wendy went back to her roots and coached her local YMCA team for two years. She has a passion for younger children and loves to watch them grow, learn and thrive in their accomplishments. After a number of years off, Wendy began working as a swim instructor for the Hamilton Y and then the summer of 2003 began work at Peddie. She began coaching the Mini Falcon 1’s in the fall of 2003 and is enjoying their spirit and enthusiasm. Wendy lives in Robbinsville with her husband, Kevin and daughters Kelly (team cheerleader) and Emily who swims on the team.
