Meet The Coaches

Paul Mucciarone – Elite 1 Coach

Paul is originally from Margate, NJ, just south of Atlantic City. Growing up, he competed in local age-group and summer league swim teams. He attended The Peddie School, where he swam and ran cross-country and track. During his senior year, he was a member of Peddie’s first National Championship team. Paul started swimming open water races during high school while working as a lifeguard in his hometown. After graduation from Peddie, he attended the US Naval Academy where he swam for two years. He retired from the Navy in 1998, and currently teaches at the Marine Academy of Science and Technology (MAST) on Sandy Hook. He is an active member of the Princeton Area Masters Swimming program, and still competes in open water races in the summer. In the fall of 2000, Paul began coaching with the Peddie Aquatics team. Paul lives in Cranbury with his wife, Maryjean, (also a Peddie grad) and daughters Molly and Anna (both on the team.)
