Dean Hutchinson's "First in the Water" Starts Clinic will be held this Saturday, May 7th, 7:30 -10:30 AM. Registration is now closed. No practice on Saturday for anyone not attending the clinic.

Congratulations to Sarah Lloyd (10/U), Connor Signorin (11/12) and Kathryn Raplee (13/14) on making the NJ Zone Team! They will compete against the top swimmers from each LSC in the Eastern Zone. Due to the poor road conditions, all PAA practices have been cancelled for tonight, March 8, 2005. Junior 1 pictures will now be taken on Mar. 10 and Junior 2 pictures will be taken on Mar. 11 during the normal practice times.

Middle Atlantic Swimming has posted the 2004 Holiday Meet Database from the Eastern Zone. In addition to the results of each Holiday Meet in the Eastern Zone, the database also includes the TOP 50 swimmers in each event in the Eastern Zone.

Congratulations to the following swimmers who set new team records at the 18th Annual Holiday Classic on Dec. 10-12, 2004: Sarah Lloyd (Girls 10/under 50 & 100 breast), Ryan Signorin (Boys 10/under 50 breast, 100 back, 50 & 100 fly, 100 & 200 IM), Connor Signorin (Boys 12/under 200 & 500 free, 200 back, 400 IM), and Kathryn Raplee (100 & 200 back).

No practices scheduled for Dec. 24, 25, 31 and Jan. 1, 2005. The normal practice schedule will be followed through Dec. 23rd, and Dec. 27-30. Only the Elites will have practice on Dec. 31st (New Year's Eve) in the morning from 8:00-10:30 AM.

Congratulations to the following swimmers who set new team records at the Caitlin Lehmann Memorial Meet on Dec. 5, 2004: Brynn Laurash (Girls 6/under 25 free), Brian Mishkin (Boys 6/under 25 free & 25 fly), and John Blair (Boys 8/under 50 Free & 50 Back).

The mini meet for January has been changed to the NRG Mini Meet, and 3 new meets have been added for February: DST Sweetheart Meet for all 9/overs, Senior/Junior States for qualifying Elites, and Spirit Mini Meet for all 8/unders.

All swimmers and their families are invited to the Team Holiday party on Tuesday, Dec. 14th from 6:00-9:00 at the Hightstown Engine Co. #1 Banquet Hall. Please bring a dessert to share and a non-perishable food item to help restock the food pantry of the Community Action Service Center. RSVP by Nov. 29th.

The following practice changes have been made: Friday, Nov. 5th - All Elites, Elite Prep, and Junior 2's will practice 5:00-7:00 PM. Saturday, Nov. 6th - ALL PRACTICES CANCELLED! (NO PRACTICE FOR ANYONE.)

Join your PAA teammates for a little Halloween fun! There will be Pumpkin Relays and refreshments for each group at the end of your regularly scheduled practice on Saturday, Oct. 30th (MF1 fun will be on Thursday, Oct. 28th).

In order to assist everyone with preparing for the first meets of the season, there will be an informal "Question & Answer" meeting for all interested parents (both old and new PAA families). Meet in the balcony seating area on either Monday, Nov. 1st, 6:00 - 7:00 PM or Tuesday, Nov. 2nd, 6:00-7:00 PM.

Orders are now being taken for "Peddie Swimming" apparel. Order forms have been distributed to the mail folders. Orders are due by Oct. 29, 2004.

A Stroke & Turn clinic will be held 7:00-9:00 PM on Tuesday, October 26 for parents interested in becoming a USA Swimming Stroke & Turn official. Meet the instructor, Jeff Mace, in the balcony at the Peddie Pool. Please RSVP to Sue by Oct. 23rd.

The Elite practice schedule for Fridays has been corrected to be 5:30 PM - 7:30 PM.

The tentative short course Meet Schedule has been posted. All swimmers will be entered in all appropriate meets unless your swimmer's coach is notified at least six weeks before the first day of the meet.

On Saturday, October 2, 2004, 7:00 AM - 10:00 AM, sample team suits and warm-ups will be available for try-ons in the balcony area. Orders must be placed on Oct. 2nd.

The short course team records are now posted. Long course records will be posted later in the season. Please notify the webmaster of any corrections or new records.

On August 18, 2004, try-outs will be held for any new swimmers interested in joining PAA. Additional details are posted under Try-outs. All returning swimmers must complete the registration form and submit a deposit of $100 per swimmer by Aug. 20, 2004. Practice begins on Wednesday, September 15, 2004.

The 2004 Olympic Trials will be held July 7-14 in Long Beach, Calif. The competition will air on NBC on the following dates:

July 9 (Live): 8-9 p.m. (ET)
July 11 (Live): 8-9 p.m. (ET)
July 18 (Taped): 1-3 p.m. (ET)

On Saturday, May 22nd, All Junior 1 & Junior 2 swimmers not attending the Spring Fling will have practice from 8:30-10:00 AM. All Elites not attending the Spring Fling can practice from 8:30-10:00 AM (work-out will be posted). All other groups (Minis and Falcons) will follow their normal practice schedule. No practice for any group on Memorial Day (Monday, May 31st), but there will be normal practice on Saturday, May 29th.

The mid-day sessions have been eliminated and the Senior 400 Free & Senior 400 IM moved to the end of the morning sessions, and the 13/14 400 Free & 13/14 400 IM moved to the end of the afternoon sessions. Session start times have also changed: 9/10 & Senior warm-ups begin at 9:00 AM on both days, 11/14 warm-ups begin at 1:30 PM on Saturday, and 1:00 PM on Sunday.

All the team practices are cancelled for Saturday, May 8th. Make-up practices will be held on Friday, May 7th for the following groups: Junior 1 - 5:30-7:00 PM, Mini Falcon 2 - 5:30-6:30 PM, Falcon 1 and Falcon 2 - 6:30-7:30 PM. All other Friday night practices are at the regular time.

April 21, 2004 - SPEEDO Backpacks on Sale!

We have a few SPEEDO Backpacks available for a discount price of only $30 (normally $65). The bags are navy with "Peddie" screened in gold on the flap. You must email Sue at SMoyer@peddie.org by April 24th if you want one of these bags.

Due to circumstances beyond our control, all team practices are cancelled for Saturday, April 24th.

No practices from March 26 - April 17, 2004. Normal practice schedule will resume on Monday, April 19, 2004. Enjoy your spring break!

Orders for a 3-photo packages are due by Mar. 15th. (To be delivered at the Team Banquet on Mar. 25th.) Deposits for the spring training session are also due by Mar. 15th.

The PAA Team Banquet will be held on Thursday, March 25 at the Nottingham Fire Co. Hall from 6:00-9:00 PM. Watch for more details regarding cost, directions, etc.

On February 11th & 12th, pictures will be taken of each practice group and individual swimmers. Swimmers should arrive at their normal practice time wearing a team suit, warm-ups, and a smile.

The spring training season will begin on Monday, April 19th and end on Friday June 25, 2004. The summer training season will begin on June 28th and go to the end of July.

We would like to take a picture of the entire team in their team suits. Every PAA swimmer should be at the pool on Saturday, Jan. 31st by 9:00 AM in your team suit.

We have added another meet to the schedule. The 8/unders now have the option of attending the Middle Atlantic Mini Championships, to be held at GCIT on March 13 & 14, 2004. Talk to your coaches about entries.
