· Parents must stay in the balcony during the lessons. You may drop off your child at the stairs before the lesson starts, but then you must go upstairs to the balcony. You should not wait on the pool deck while the previous lesson is going on. We will place your child in the appropriate group. The only exception to this rule is for Splish Splash and Parent/Tot classes, but once your child's class has begun, you must move up to the balcony.
· If your child needs to use the bathroom, you may meet them on the pool deck and escort them to the bathroom.
· There can be no opposite sexes over 4 years old in the locker rooms. NO EXCEPTIONS. If you are uncomfortable sending your 5 year old in the locker rooms, then you may change them in the balcony over the diving well only. Please be discrete. We must remember that we use the Peddie School facility, and there are high school age students in the locker rooms all the time. You may not be changing your 5 year old son in the women’s locker rooms.
· At times there are cancellations out of our control (snow, ice, thunder) and refunds will not be given for these reasons. If there is a cancellation that we can control (pool problems, or instructor issues), we will either make up the class or give you a refund.
· Absolutely no communication with the child can take place during the lesson, especially calling over the balcony.
· All parking for lessons must be done at the upper parking lot, the first lot you come to on the driveway. (Near the green wall). Please allow for extra time on Saturdays for a little walk. It gets extremely dangerous by the building with so much traffic going in and out on Saturday mornings.
· PLEASE REMEMBER THAT YOUR CHILD AND THE INSTRUCTOR ARE DOING THEIR BEST. SOME CHILDREN LEARN AT A SLOWER RATE. THE MOST BENEFICIAL TIP FOR SWIMMING IS TO RELAX AND HAVE FUN. TRY TO GET THIS ACROSS TO YOUR CHILD EVERY TIME YOU DROP THEM OFF!!
· Please remember that we use the Peddie School’s facility. Lessons are not a Peddie School function. Please respect the facility, it’s employees, and the students as you pass through. Any vandalism or improper behavior will result in withdrawal from the program.
· If you have a complaint or question about the lesson program, or an instructor, please address these issues to Sue Cozzone at 609-490-7564 or SCozzone@peddie.org. Please do not take up the instructor’s time at the end of class, as it will take away from the next class’s lesson.
There
will be no refunds for the classes once you have registered for any reason.
We cannot refund money due to illness, injury, or vacations. We pay the
instructors based on full classes, and we could not provide you with such
excellent instructors if we refunded money for these reasons. We also do
not offer make-ups for missed classes since our class sizes are limited
for the safety of our students. Please accept our apologies in this matter.
